Chezza Lee is a biracial Chinese-English SFF writer whose work often incorporates Chinese mythology, feminism, and musings on the mixed-race identity crisis. She was born in England and immigrated to Canada as a teen.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in English and Philosophy from the University of Alberta and a Master of Arts degree in Renaissance Literature from the University of York, UK. She also completed a Certificate of Journalism from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and participated in a summer study program at the University of Nanjing, China.
Chezza’s short fiction can be found in Heartlines Spec, All Worlds Wayfarer: Into the Dark, and Luna Station Quarterly, among others, and she is a first reader for Small Wonders. Her romantic fantasy manuscript, A FATE WOVEN IN STARLIGHT (formerly BRIDGES OF MAGPIES), was selected for the 2024 SmoochPit Mentorship Program. She is an Associate Member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association (SFWA), a member of the Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Association (CSFFA), and a member of Codex.
